Yeah this scares the bejeezus out of me. 😂 The results are not nearly the same as this mod. but I get more induction noise with the racing air filters. I had a K&N in my ‘16 IS 350 FSport and a TOM’s in my IS 500.

Haha. I freakin love it. Makes the car sound so much better. I installed a pedal commander today as well and spent some time finding a setting that I liked. Now the car has the feel I was after. I’m a wild one.

Actually it's not RPM or drive mode dependent, it's actuated by engine vacuum. Floor the throttle at any RPM, vacuum drops and the flap opens. Drive at a steady 3500 RPM the flap stays closed.

It is RPM dependent. Says that right in the repair information. Otherwise, why have an electrically switched valve?
