Like I was saying, I'm not an Infiniti fan by any stretch in the imagination, but this does look much better [at least in these pics] then the IS250C IMO:
The IS’s rear does look like the BMW 3 as stated, but it seems better executed on the 3 - perhaps the IS-C will look better in person.

I think I know what's the problem, take a look at the waist line just below the windows on the sedan then take another look at the vert. That's right, it's all messed up.
IMO, that waist line really defines the side profile of the 2IS but it's missing on the convertible. The big greenhouse and unsmooth C-pillar due to the hard-top setup certainly didn't help either.

the thing about the speedo/tach needles, when you drive with the top down in the day the glare might make the led needles hard to see thus the big white triangles.

Why isnt' there a voting option for "ugly?" Big thumbs down. The proportions are all wrong at the hips and top. The styling looks stretched, pinched, and tacked on. Also looks like a Solara Convertible (weak and feminine). Very disappointed. And this must have cost Lexus a fortune to do so late in the model run. Bad move all around. =(
