Tire Woes.

Tire Woes.
This is my first time on this forum. A few weeks ago, I took my car into a tire shop for new tires. I told them I am not able to rotate my tires, as they are different sizes so I opted to get 4 brand new tires.
Today, I was reading about the Goodyear Tires protest at nascar and curiously went out to see what brand tires I had. I was shocked to discover that I have 4 of the same size tires.
My car sticker says 225/45R/17 for Front and 245/45R/17 for rear. I am now worried if this has caused any problems over the few weeks. I would like to think not, but I don’t want to go to the store and complain only to be told, It’s not really a big deal. Any thoughts? Also, have often do shocks and struts need replacing? Thank you for your consideration and time.

What size did the tire store install all around? The difference between those two sizes is the width of the tread so you don’t need to be concerned about any geometry problems with the suspension. The biggest concern I can think of would be if they put the wider tires all around that it potentially could cause the front tires to rub against suspension components at lock.
Shocks/struts can vary depending on road conditions you encounter. I haven’t seen any good rules of thumb lately but don’t believe the tire stores saying you need to replace them at 50k or 100K miles. Check the condition of the tires for cupping or the units for oil leaks before replacing them. Anyone else have some tips?
