Question Aftermarket air filters

So, I'm having a bit of a challenge finding an aftermarket air filter that will fit my 2015 IS250C. I purchased a K&N filter and it didn't fit. I got a refund for that and then tried the aFe filter and that didn't fit either. Both of these companies claim this filter will fit my car, but there is no way the filters I received would fit into my stock airbox.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket filter that will fit? Is the air filter for my car different than the sedan? I have attached some pictures, if that helps.

OK, I think I figured this out. I did some research on my filter and it seems that my car has a different part number for the air filter than the IS250 sedan. The sedan part number is 17801-31170, while the convertible part number is 17801-31110.

This site has the parts and which vehicles they fit:

https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...801-31170.html
https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...801-31110.html

I'll leave this thread, as it might help others.

I installed the AFe oil less performance filter yesterday. It was no problem with the fit, however the clip in the front of the car is tricky and for about 5 minutes I thought it wouldn’t fit.

Yeah, that's the one that should fit my car, based on my research. Unfortunately, that's not what's listed on their site for my car (2015 IS 250 C). I'm waiting to hear back from them on how I can exchange the one I bought for that one.

On a related note, the K&N site also lists the wrong filter for my car.

Pretty sure it fits (i have an 11' IS250C), like i said its a little tricky to get in, however, if you take out the front engine cover you can access it a lot easier. Did you try that?

Can you take a picture of your air box to see if its different?

The same filter fit our 2014 IS250 (3rd gen) also...

The one you sent is the correct filter and will fit. What I'm saying is that both sites (aFe and K&N) list the wrong filter for my car.

Oh, and yes I did remove the cover and was able to easily access the air box.

I've noticed there is some confusion with the part numbers for the 2014 & 15 IS C's as they are still 2nd Gen while the 250/350's went on to the 3rd Gen platform in 2014.

When looking up parts, I've been listing my car as a 2013 just to cross check and see if there is a difference.
