Rear view camera blurry

Rear view camera blurry
Hey everyone,
has anyone experienced a blurry rear view on their IS C?
it wasn’t this bad a few weeks ago but now it almost hurts your eyes to try and see through it. I cleaned it from the outside with glass cleaner thinking it would take care of it but nope. Waited a week to see if maybe water got in it and if it dried out but it is still the same (daytime or night).
i am thinking about ordering a new camera but wanted to see if there was a software fix to get it to focus (or way to clean it from the inside)?
I read through some other threads but nothing came up really concrete other than the dealership wanting $800 for replacements. I’m sure eBay has some alternatives.
Anyone have else have issues with it?

I've not seen it on any of my cars in the past. It looks like a ghosting effect--I have seen that caused by cabling issues in other video applications.
As far as the part is concerned, you might want to try searching ebay. I've had pretty good luck finding good/reasonably priced parts sold by junk yards--at least, so far.

Update: today, the camera didn’t work at all... when we would put the car in reverse it wouldn’t change screens. It would stay on Navi or radio, but not the camera.
i decided to reset the whole thing so I unplugged the battery and after that everything was working like normal - camera no longer blurry....
this probably left me with more questions than answers so I will keep an eye to see what happens next if it becomes an issue again. I did find a used camera for the car on eBay so that is on the way anyway ... probably not the issue tho?

I'm currently experiencing the same issue on my 2010 IS350c. I started noticing the blurriness after i reached 75K miles. I'm now at 81K miles and it's been random between the blurriness, clear functioning camera, and non-functioning camera. Not sure what's going on either.

i ordered a replacement used camera prior to the reset (disconnecting the battery), so my next step if the issue continues is to replace it if it blurs up again. My guess is that it may not be the camera itself but maybe even the connection. It hasn’t acted up since the reboot but I’m keeping a close eye on it.

The type of blurriness seems like loose connection or something in the processing. Strange a reboot would fix it. I've had base 350 for almost 2 years now and one time after cold start backing out, switch to drive and going forward the camera stayed on for about a mile and went back to the Nav screen. Has never done it since and until this week the ECU had never been reset.
Like when I bought it had 50k mi on it and Techstream showed 44,000 mi since last reset.
What's the humidity at your location? Perhaps if stored/parked with the top on and windows up, place a couple of 1lb bags desiccant under a seat and in the trunk.
