isC trunk struts

I have not. Could you provide more information on the issue you are having? Is it affecting convertible function or trunk function? The trunk does not automatically pop open like the sedan. It requires a lot of "umph" to open the trunk haha.

Trunk lid starting to drift down when open, especially in cold weather.
Always been hard to open, surprised how much "umph" needed, but dealer said this is normal.
I have the struts ordered, will give it a go, as I have done a hood strut without issue before.

I replaced mine recently. Very straightforward job - about 5 minutes but make sure you have an assistant to hold up the trunk as you remove the old units.
I just found the trunk quite heavy to lift and thought they must need replacing. My car is a very early production model ( may 2009 ) so the struts were over 10 years old.
The Lexus price for new items here was prohibitive so I went for a pair of Strong Arm units from Lift Support Depot.com which were priced at $50 plus shipping. They work OK and have definately made the initial lift considerably easier. Physicially, while they are identical in lenght and fittings, the cylinder circumferance is less than the original units which gives the impression that they will be weaker in operation and possibly under more strain but so far they have performed without issue - I have, however, kept the ogiginal units "just in case"!

Just did mine a 2011. Ordered a set from Amazon. +1 on the above comments, the trunk lid is really heavy. Either have someone hold it up while you swap one side out or do what I did, use a 2x4 to brace the trunk lid fully open. After I did it, the trunk is a little easier to open and stays open. My original ones wouldn’t go up very easy. Net- I didn’t notice that much difference in new ones other than a bit easier time opening the trunk.

Definitely worse in the colder months, so I wanted to get this done.
I found an aftermarket set - $22 shipping incl. shipping. I have ordered a hood strut for another car before and was pleased. Waiting on delivery in the next day or so.
Will update.

Replaced mine with stock
Took 10minutes to replace. Used a mallet to pop old ones out and snapped new ones in. Just prop trunk open with wood to hold it up. I ordered mine thru Bell Lexus of Scottsdale. $85.00 for both delivered..... they have great prices. It opens so much easier, i think you forget overtime how easy it should open. This trunk should have been motorized like most new

After Market Trunk Struts- ISC
Update- I used the ones I found on Amazon and they work great! Easy to install like the others have said...just use a piece of wood to prop open the trunk. I used a small flat screwdriver to pull the spring clip back from the ball socket.
