Default Trunk weight

Hello

For as long as I've had 250C I've noticed how heavy the truck is to open and lift. I recently asked a dealership to look if there was an issue or if the struts were bad and I was told all hardtop trunks just weigh a ton.

Does anyone else experience the same?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, it's heavy. But if Lexus designed it that way it must be for good reason.

Enjoy!

Same thing here! Mine had totally useless struts when I first bought it, so I threw a set of brand new ones on and although it holds itself up and rises up quickly, it is pretty difficult to move it up that first few inches!

Probably has extra bracing in it to keep it from being flimsy looking when opening both ways

Thanks for the replies, I guess it’s just heavy.
