Warning Message
My 2010 IS250C has started to display a warning message - Check Headlight System.
Picture below. All lamps appear to be working.
I suspect this points towards the automatic height adjustment but any suggestions will be welcome.
Me and the car are in the UK and yes, the mileage is genuine!

Hey Mike!
If you just got aftermarket headlights or have issues with the AFS, you can pull the AFS fuse on the driver's side.
Pulling this fuse removes AFS and also the warning light and has no other impact to the vehicle.
I pulled this fuse when installing my VLAND headlights.
Let me know if this helps!

Hi Ken,
Thanks for your response. It seems that the issue is with the height sensing - potentiometers at front and rear of the chassis reporting incline to adjust the motorised headlights.
Could be bad contacts or potentiometer needs replacing. If the latter, the Lexus dealer tells me this is a £ 500 (US $ 600) job as the part is expensive.
I plan to get my local non-franchise workshop to take a look.

I had the same issue when adding lowering springs on my IS-C. I tried to manually adjust the AFS like in previous forms stated and use the diagrams but can never find where it is located. So, I gave up and decided to live with it. I ended up adjusting my lights manually with a Philips screwdriver.

Both front and rear on the left side. After multiple attempts to try and locate the system to adjust, I gave up and just pulled the fuse for the auto leveling and called it a day.

When you put eyes on the sensor and arm, you'll see there is a slot that allows you to adjust the sensors arm position. If the car was lowered, that means lever on the sensor went up, loosen the adjuster and move it down.
It's pretty straight forward.

To tanweerr12 and any others - did pulling the fuse eliminate the fault message? It looks like I will have to resort to this solution.

Reproduced from Normal Threads -
Time for me to chip in. My (UK model, right-hand drive) has the same issue.
I have now pulled the fuse and the dashboard warning has disappeared. Preferable to spending $1,000 on part and labor at the dealership.
If the static headlights prove to need vertical adjustment I will adjust manually.
