Dash display out?
Rolled into work this morning with everything functioning fine like it has for the past 10 months I've owned the car.
Went to back up into the normal spot, threw it in reverse and got a black screen i.l.o. the back up camera.
Fiddled with the gear shift lever from reverse to drive to neutral thinking wierd.
Reverse screen finally popped up but I was in drive.....
I proceeded to put it in park and then black screen with nothing.
Tried pushing the ac control buttons and received the one pic
Tried pushing the map button and received another message that went away faster than I could snap a pic.
Auto button on air controls wouldn't do anything so currently car is on med fan speed with no AC.
Ended with black screen and I shut the car down.
Any ideas whatsoever guys?

Start with the simple stuff. Check your fusebox to make sure nothing's wiggled loose. Then disconnect your battery and leave it disconnected for a couple minutes. Nothing like "turning it off and on again".
Also, nice song choice.

Luckily have a desk job allowed me to do some research today and have come to the conclusion of not having a clear answer
Youtube videos and forums have literally been all over the place with the following pertaining to Lexus in general not just the IS or F
1 - pulled and/or replaced fuses that were/weren't blown and it worked
2 - had to replace AC climate amplifier (rx and LS460)
3 - bluetooth device installed after working for 3 years was the culprit
4 - GX470 & LX had pin #60 cold solder joint on ac circuit board
5 - circuit board on multiple IS models with same error codes and after replacing with alibaba or aliexpress fixed if you knew the right model # of board to order or if they were in stock at all.
6 - option is taninauto cluster and misc electronic repairs in wisconsin.
Currently leaning towards 5-6 most likely 6 for hopefully the fix
Will know more after talking with them via email sent earlier
Yay...

Its worked fine since having this issue pop up.
so, if it wiggled loose it would still have the issue I assume.
Currently its like it never happened at all.
After talking with Taninauto its going to be roughly $700-800 for total of shipping, diagnostics, new circuit board, and new screen while its there being that they are prone to go out as well.
All in all, a little pricey but if its basically a repaired board w a brand new screen, then it should in theory last my lifetime with the car being that I put on less than 3k miles a year and currently sits at 39k
