Not making assumptions at all, I test drove the 3GS430 in March for about an hour on public highway around the vicinity of the dealer, the roads didn't offer me the opportunity to drive it in such a way to trigger the VDIM even on that car.
Whether I think the VDIM on the IS350 is too intrusive doesn't really matter. They can keep it that way on the IS350 & I may not even mind. What we're talking about is a possible IS500, I really think if they even care to build one, it should be an all out performance sports sedan that can satisfy even the most hardcore of enthusiasts, if they want an off switch, why deny them ?
