at the same price? next M3 will be significantly cheaper than old one eh? Not only that, 380HP can not compare with Z06, and M3 will be 500lbs heavier....

seems that BMW owners gotta wait for their upgrades lately... we always hear "wait for new..." . Neverending story...

and since when is m3 a car geared towards comfort and luxury? you throw out the handling, braking, and balance part of the m3, and throw in the luxury part of the is350. so it's apple to orange now? see my point? comparing apples to oranges is not going to get you anywhere...
i agree, completly. I was not comparing them at all, although I think they both have very similar buyers.
What I was saying is that for 10k less, you can run with M3, bathing in Lexus luxury. Isnt that nice?

This might sound crazy, but , if i weren't allowed to sell either one, and
had to keep it for the rest of my life, and i had a choice of either an M3 optioned
out or a IS350 optioned out (for free), I think Id choose the IS350, even though the M3
would cost almost 10k more than the IS350.. I'd have give it some though, but
i think i'd choose the IS350, (with ML) of course.. what would you all choose?

If I had to keep a car for the rest of my life it probably would be an LS430. The IS we eventually had to dismiss because with our kid it is just too small of a car. If I were single now and for the rest of my life I might choose the IS350 though. But, if the choice has to be between the IS350 and M3 of course I'd choose the IS350 as well. The chances the IS will go 500K to 1,000,000 miles throught my lifetime is probably greater in the IS than BMW

However, if I were able to buy a second car along with either of these two cars, I'd choose ths BMW M3 and something else for a daily driver that I can replace every 4-5 years like I do now.

I'd choose the M3 over the IS350. But will choose the IS350 over any BMW 330
