well power wise i have absolutely NO worry at all

but handling and response, i very much do. if it doesn't handle closer to the m3 or the rs4, it's not going to be good. c55 is already considered not having good enough of handling

I'd trust what I read here from a senior member more than what I would read from Automobile magazine, which posts rumors as facts more times than not.

My guess is that the 5.0 liter will go in the Lexus LF-A, which apparently will NOT get the V-10 it was rumored to be getting.

The LF-A's V-8 is expected to make 500hp, which would be consistent with the 5 liter. It makes more sense for the IS to get the 4.6, which can make more than enough power for its mission while not competing with the LF-A.

I'm hoping the F will come at the end of the whole model designation, like the "h" does for the hybrids. IS460F?

Stupid. Manual transmission should at least be offered as an option.

BMW will be doing that soon on some of their SMG only cars. In cars like these, there will always be a market for manual transmissions (not for a 8-sp manual gearbox though )

ya totally. if i were gonna buy a 50,000 dollar racecar, i'd want it in manual also. weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

it took me forever to decide if i would sacrifice the fun of stick (250) for more power (350).... but i figured.... its a fast lux sedan, not really a racecar

I think they're doing it more because the new SMG's suck.
