The IS-F sounds very robust in person. Very true, we wont really get a guage of how the engine sounds until we get behind the wheel and drive it under full load. It's quite funny the comments i've already gotten on YouTube by the Euro fanboys. The IS-F & RS4 sound very different. Plus that revving inside that ballroom that day doesn't do well with harmonics of the IS-F's true sound. Since we were on a stage in the Riverview Ballroom, the acoustics are alot different than being on concrete or asphalt outside.

Funny you mention that, your youtube clip was just posted on autospies & the Euro fanboys are mos def there too, lol:

I was reading some of the comments on there about how gawdy the extended body lines look. While it may look like this from certain angles (in pics), in person it mos def looks much better & more subtle then people think.

looks pretty good, i prefer some dished rims or some concaved te-37's, but i'm more interested in the aftermarket support this may get. i wonder who'll come out with the n/a add-ons--hopefully trd. but i expect hks/trust/blitz/tom's to be in full competition with each other too

Anyone in the Houston area should attend the Houston Auto Show, the IS-F and LF-A are both there, both are stunning in person

And that, IMO, will change what a lot of people think of the ISF. I'm ready to go next week in Chicago.

Hopefully the IS-F be way less expensive.

Damn, you're lucky!...You get to see the unveiling of the new Scion xB & xD. Anyway, yeah its looks better in person. At least that was my impression when I flew to Detroit to see it.

As usual BMW underrates their actual HP. Actual HP maybe higher. For instance the 335 is actually producing more than the advertised 300HP. Hopefully the IS-F comes with at least 450HP. Hope Lexus doesn't mess up with F series.

FWIW, the previous gen. M3 (e46) was not rated higher or lower. M3 owners (myself included until I sold it) were getting the usual 16-18% drivetrain loss. Hopefully the IS-F will be under rated like the IS350 is.

And I gotta say it again...DaYam! The IS-F is a hot & sexy beotch! Especially in person.

Lexus is very good and competatively pricing their new vehicles. I highly doubt it will even be at that level. The first LS, RX and etc. proved that.

Agreed. saw the leaked photos the night before the Press Release at the hotel we stayed at in Detroit. I reserved my real judgement until I saw the car up close and in person the next day in the Riverview Ballroom. It's a lot better when you can judge something up close and in person instead of seeing a bunch of photos and being disappointed with it the whole time.
