What is the difference between a ugly SUV with a 6.0 L engine (with the stated acceleration/speed) without the handling to match it vs a suped up honda civic that can go just as fast? The SRT line is the biggest joke of the factory peformance lines. Pick-up trucks, SUVs and Neons with 300-600 hp. lame.

Obviously haven't driven either but I will test drive both. My bets are that I would prefer the E92 M3 since it is almost guaranteed that it will be the sportier of the 2. I'd have to get a manual in a car like this.

IS-F is my choice.
My Reasons:
1. Cheaper (likely to spend 5k-10k more on the M3 for the same number of extras: keyless, nav, etc...) I still shouldn't pre-judge no official price announcement mentioned yet.
2. Nicer interior (personal taste, and based on pictures.)
3. No I-drive.

I can't judge based on handling as I haven't test driven either.

whell i am number one in line for an isf so i guess isf. MY reasons like stated in the last post def cheaper. If i decide to lease 100% going to be cheaper those old m3s were leasing out at 12 1300 a month there nuts. Basically price im only 19 soOo i get what i can afford. O and i seen the torque numbers on that m3 and they are not bmw like at all whats up with that??? so Low

LOL.

Looks like BMW engineered their 4.0L V8 for high revving horsepower. Honda-like upper RPM range power 8300rpm redline. We'll have to wait and see how it translates to real world driving.

They are both going to be fast.... Why not go for what you think looks better, and you like more. I would buy the IS-F personally.

If I had to choose now, I would go with the IS-F.

Reasons:
1. Exclusivity compared to M3 (everyone and their mother has one in Maryland)
2. Bigger engine (5 liters).
3. Styling (I think the 2nd gen IS looks more modern than the 3 Series sedan. However, the 3 Series coupe is nasty…in a good way)
3. Vertically stacked tailpipes (I’ve never seen that on a production car before)
4. I think it will have quicker 0-60 and ¼ mile times (yes the M3 will probably corner better but I wouldn’t take it to the track anyway so who cares?)
5. Higher probability of reliability
6. I know you didn’t ask but my color choice would be Blue with white leather (that blue is going to be insane on the streets with those vertically stacked pipes and 19in wheels…ooooh my goodness)

Im gonna actually choose none, I would get the 335i it will be way faster than any of those IMO. Im actually considering trading my IS350 for the 335i right now if the negotiation goes good.

with a proceed the 335 puts down 385(est) torque uped also but realtime numbers are only 3 tenths of a second better soo the 335 with a chip and exhaust is doing about 4.7 strong everytime but the wheels are doing alot of spinning... ur right for the prcie u cannot beat the perforamce i agree 100% but faster then an isf and the new m3 i higly doubt. Right now i got 2 friends with the 335 one with a chip one without they race all day the chip only wins minimaly and when i had my 350 i was right there witht the stock 335.
