um yes... that's pretty much the whole point of the isf. lexus is attempting to gain more market share and more importantly, they are trying to get it into people's heads that they're more than just luxury cars. it would be stupid of lexus to not branch out into different kinds of cars especially when they're directly competing with bmw and mercedes, both of which have a model line up way bigger than that of lexus'.

The IS500 is a great looking car. The IS350 is also a stunning car, even compared to every car in its class. All things considered (exterior appeal, interior design, power, comfort, fit and finish) the IS350 or 500 can easily be very appealing compared to a BMW or Audi. The IS-F on the other hand, is a forced exaggeration of the IS's appeal. It then becomes meaningless that it has a rocking engine, because even if every owner thinks they've convinced themselves that they've got a cool car, they will continually be trying to convince other people to see the appeal thats not really there. Then to those who say "its better than what the pictures show", I'd say "thats nice, but its not good enough - you shouldn't have to search for the appeal of a car of the IS-Fs caliber, or say ' here! look at it from this angle!' ". Sorry Lexus, I love IS's, but the IS-F just doesn't do it for me.

**Edit - Ok, after looking at Flipside's photos, the IS-F is growing on me, but I still don't like the fenders or quad pipes. And don't flame me, but I don't like the wheels either - if I buy an IS-F I'd sell the wheels**
