Interesting, I thought during the auto show when they showed the pictures, it appeard on the gear shifter that when in sport mode, pushing down up-shifted and pushing up down-shifted.
It looks like in this picture that they kept it the same as in our IS. up to upshift, and down to downshift.
There was a whole thread about it.

Car looks great and the exhaust doesn't look half as bad as I thought. Although I am still not thrilled about it. However, the F logo looks RIDICULOUS. Looks very cartoonish on the back and on the steering wheel.

Thought the IS-F looked surprisingly great in person... although when I sat in the car I was kindly requested to step out because the lady said it was still a "prototype." There might be more changes to come...

Thanks to Lexus' accommodating staffs they let me in to snap a few photos after 5pm. Here are my pictures. Nice looking car and it is a lot more subtle than the official press release photographs released earlier this year.

Likes:
-The rear skirts
-Double-dual exhaust.
-The gunpowder rims (would be a welcome addition to the standard IS).
Question(s):
-How did it handle?
-What did the steering wheel and steering feel like?
-What are the est 0-60 and 0-120 times?
-What size and dimensions are the rims and tires?
Detractors:
-White seats? (I have silver, so I know how careful you have to be, white should be even harder to care for).
-Looks to much like the regular IS.
Overall, and judging from the outside looking in, the IS-F looks like a nice ride! However, at this time I wouldn't consider trading in my 350 for it. Now if they released an IS-F coupe or hardtop convertable...I'll take it black on black with gunmental everything, please, with a cherry on top!

love the blue
love the white/black seats
love the rear seatin arrangement (with center seat eliminated)
love the rims
love the rear bumper with quad exhaust
love the 415hp
LOVE THE CAR
questions:
what other colors will be available?
will there be a manual?
coupe/convert available for the IS-F?
will they have different color combo for interior door panels?
LEDs headlights like the LS600hL?
improvement in interior rattling?

Sadly, no one could drive the car or even sit in it for that matter......so all photos were taken from outside. One thing I failed to mention however was that the front fender vents look good in the flesh. Other photos I've seen shown them to stick out a lot............they don't.
