Something like that happened to me with my motorcycle. I was getting a state inspection done, and the tech couldn't distinguish between the 1s & Is as printed on the registration! He tried entering few different combinations into the computer, gave up, asked me, then wrote it down after looking at the actual plate.

THEY DENITED A FEW OF MY REQUESTED LOLZ FINALLY THIS ONE CAME THRU , ABOUT 6 WEEKS AND I HAVE A NOTE IN THE MAIL TELLING ME TO GO PICK UP MY PLATE AND BRING REGISTRATION AND OLD PLATE. CAME ON TIME FOR MY TACOMA DUE FOR REGISTRATION TOO LOLZ . THEY DENIED ME ISFLIFE LOLZ
