Default Manual Mode Gear Display

So, how come the most of the pics still have the "+" sign and "-" sign reversed on the IS-F?

If you goto Lexus website they have it right in there photos of the IS-F but, pics from the laguna seca implies something else?!?!

If somebody can forward the message to Lexus peeps in the next event then do so...

I have just seen the white pre-production model at the Chicago TOL and the "+" is up and the "-" is down, just as has been reported by others on the site.

BTW, the driver's seat is great and the engine exhaust sounds amazing. Sorry no pics or video.

EXACTLY!

The "+" sign should be down and "-" sign Up! Because, when you accelerate your body tends to move backward so, having the "+" sign at the bottom is better for shifting up. Same goes for when your decelerating and using the "-" sign (your body tends to move forward and it's easy to down shift with "-" sign up).

I don't like that on the current IS. Hopefully they fix that!! They have it in correct position on Lexus website but, all the pre-production models are different

Below is the picture from Lexus website...

And as was also stated before, if you want to have this configuration, you may be able to use the Tom's GT Shift Kit.

Why would I pay money for a shift kit when I can reverse two wires at zero cost and have the functionality I want?

Yep just last weekend. I had it posted in the Chicago regional section and also our front page. It pays to check the front page out.

I've never gotten a chance to look at the connectors in that detail but, do the wires click out and snap in easily or do you need to sodder or something?

Thanks for the link, by the way!

Okay thanks!

Yea, I looked at the link and I was just wondering if the end of the wires are snap/click or not... It's good that they click and snap.
