How much off on MSRP ?
#2
dude. the IS-F will be a limited production vehicle. We will be lucky to get the car at MSRP; the dealer will either add a markup or add a bunch of b/s comsmetic crap to make extra money.

I think you may be able to find a dealer willing to offer a small discount (say $1000) if you are willing to spend time on the phone and the internet before placing your order. Dealers will likely try to take advantage of buyers that just show up and order one, especially this early before the pricing and options have been released.
Lexus hasn't even priced the car yet, so discounts will depend on how they price it. If they overprice it, there will be discounts from the beginning. If they price it fairly, even a small discount may be hard to find. I consider a $1000 discount small for a $50K car.

Sticker?
Is this actual corporate policy that they enforce (like Saturn, everyone pays the same price), or your opinion? If the rumor of this being limited to 5000 units is true, I'd be surprised if it doesn't go for $2000 above MSRP, whatever that may be. If the rumored $50K is true and they up'd to $52K, I'd be willing to get it, as a personal vehicle. My two girls won't fit in the back.

Deposit for WHAT?
So let's say that now that it's estimated at $50K, if I put down $2K deposit for a "standard" IS-F and Toyota comes out and says $55K, that's all I pay, they can't jack the price up? Now that's a sweet deal...
