Default How much deposit did you put in for the IS-F?

When I first spoke to a salesperson about putting a deposit on a IS-F they told me that the deposit was 1000. I asked them if they could do 500 in which they replied only if I make the deposit that moment. I wasn't sure about getting the car so I declined. Now when I call the dealerships all of them are asking for 5000. Not only that, all of them have this attitude which make me feel like they don't even want my deposit. How much deposit have people on this forum put for their spot?

Mine was $500. I did that almost a year ago well before the car's specs or cost were announced so most dealers where simply happy to take my money, without any stipulations! lol
The best part however is that the deposit is refundable. So if I change my mind or we couldn't come to an agreement on the OTD price of the car, I get my $$ back.

$0.

The normal deposit was $500 but I'm a multiple repeat customer. The deposit should be fully refundable.

I haven't left a dollar, but we've bought a few cars from the dealer.
My saleslady reminded me a few weeks ago that I was on the top of the list for any info regarding the IS-F

Hoping she's being truthful, lol, that means I paid a 0$ deposit.

There was no requirement for an actual deposit at my dealership.

Since I am buying the Neiman Marcus edition, I was required to put down $5,000. My dealer would only let me put $4k on my Lexus Visa, I got lot's of points for the 4k (worth $200); $1,000 was in cash. All refundable money from my understanding, also based on laws in my state, Texas.

Outside of the NM cars, I wouldn't put up $5k, dealers should be ashamed.

Which Dealership in NJ? I know there is one dealership in Southern NJ that doesn't have anyone in line... All deposits at this dealership have backed out.

$0.. but I won't be surprised if that once the official msrp is announced they may ask for atleast a $500 deposit.
