Default Dinan 335 vs IS-F

Does it make sense to get the Dinan 335 with 384hp/421 torque over the IS-F? The BMW will be about what, $20K less with similar performance?

it just depends on you. if your a fastest driver why not pick the dinan. if you want luxury and be fast pick the is-f. i test drove my cousin m3 stock and it was a pretty ruff ride, and a little on the stiff side for my taste. but hey i wouldnt mined having as my little sport car to mash around in. like relexin said why not get a 335i chipped. :]

I don't see a Dinan 335 being $20k less... where's some information on this? A new 335i bases at what, $40-45k? I would expect a Dinan 335 to cost around $55-60k, but I could be wrong. Last I heard the IS-F would be around $60,000, correct? I'm sure there will be some ridiculous dealer mark up on it, but I would hope it's not another $15-$20k. If it is, they'll end up like all the Ford dealerships with SVT Cobra R's sitting in the showroom for 3 years.

EDIT:
Are we talking about an actual in-house built Dinan car or a customer-modified 335 with Dinan parts?

The dinan reflash is horrible. If you want a real flash"chip" get The procede v2 or even helix attche which is going to crush the competion for half the price of the procede and a quarter of the price of the dinan. Dinan is a very lean flash and also sells an oil cooler upgrade for 2k more. So in total dinan wants 4k and they give you a 50/4yr warrenty. My choice will be helix, downpipes, fmic,ss exhaust. I love the isf but all he will see is my tails. Should be getting something like 400whp 415torque BYE ISF

Oh ok, I thought maybe they were building a complete car.

I'd pretty much have to agree with this. Dinan products are over-rated and over-priced. The only Dinan products I would consider would be in-house built vehicles such as the old twin turbo V12 850is. They make decent performance parts, but the price is ridiculous. Spend less money, get more power... void your warranty, but with the money saved over not getting the Dinan parts you can afford to break stuff.

Is that a policy they have?

They don't currently have anything in high demand that would warrant them to ask over MSRP... a low production high performance car (IS-F, GS-F, LF-A) might change that, unless it's just a TMS policy.

It's a policy.

I'd pick 335i and do European Delivery. Much cheaper and much more fun!
