BRAVO LEXUS!!! Great first effort.
Smart pricing at 56k. Most will be sold with ML/NAV for 60k so you get a loaded IS-F pretty much for the base price of the Euros....

Just fabulous!!!

This almost sounds to good to be true.
Yesterday, on CL I saw someone is paying $84k for one of these ?
I love lexus , but for 84, I'm looking at the M5...
$59k almost sounds affordable...

I'd be hard pressed between this and something like the Audi S5 at the same price point.

Both are nice cars in their own respect. I know they're not direct competitors, but both are very attractive to me in their own ways.

I've outgrown the racer riceboy in me, if I were to choose it'd definitely be the S5.

The weird part about this is that, based on existing reviews, the IS F is much more of a driver's car than the S5 - even despite the extra 180lbs in the Lexus and better weight distribution in the S5 compared to its sedan counterparts.

Yeah good point... I hope Lexus can offer a moonroof delete option for those performance-minded buyers.

If they do offer a moonroof delete option, it will probably be a $0 option that will not affect the price.

Very fair price. Well I guess if you thought it was going to cost 70 you now have an extra 14 in the bank for upgrades hahaha. and insurance. and gas. and wax. and speeding tickets.

I don't think that's weird. The IS-F is geared more towards a driver's car, whereas the S5 is more of almost a GT type of car, not a hard edged driver's car. That's what Audi's RS line is headed more towards.

people that buy the S5 are mainly guys having a midlife crisis and like the coupe style. people that buy the IS-F are there for the driving experience. Not shooting down Audi, because as you can see in my sig...but I am saying that yea there will be people that want to out do the abilities of their S5, but people that are buying an IS-F are looking to out do everyone on the road. I can't wait to see a test between the two...Jeremy Clarkson step your game up.

I meant weird in response to the comment about S5 preference because of the IS-F being a rice car.
