The money factor is about 5-6% and the monthly payments are around 900.

I think they'll be more than that. More like $1,200 or so (assuming no cap cost reduction), but I hope I'm wrong.

That is the money factor straight form a lexus representative at the dealer.

Depending on how much you put down is how much the monthly payments are. With an $8,000 down payment the monthly payments are 900.

I don't doubt the money factor, but spread that $8,000 over the lease term and you'll see that the monthly "cost" is higher than $900 (over a 24 mth lease that adds $333/mth). With a high enough down payment the monthly payment would be zero, but that doesn't make it a great deal. Question is how well it will hold its value and what the residual is. Hopefully its high.

I just have a policy not to purchase any car over 30k because its just hell trying to sell it later down the road and if you trade it in you go thru the cleaners so I just lease all my cars.

BTW if its 800-900 range with decent amout down like 5k ill be rollin in one!!!

Its a little pricy but I think its worth it. I just got a X5 4.8i for the wifey and that was a 70k car I put 4k down and im paying 1k a month for that, the IS-F to get the same payment my drive off is 7k. Sorta sucks to have to put 3k more down on a car thats 10k cheaper to have the same payment

This makes perfect sense in states like CA that don't apply the trade in credit for the sales tax towards the new vehicle.

It's not financially smart to put ANY money down when leasing. Only thing you need to put down would be 1st months payment + tax, and regis fees.
