Wink Had a new flint mica IS-F in the service lane today.

I must say that the car is hot. It isn't the first time I have seen one in person but looking at the final product was great. We are finally moving in the right direction. So many great things are coming out by 2011 and this is just the start. I would buy one in a second if I wanted a new car at this time. The car in my opinion is worth the money and should make every owner happy.

I can't wait to see one locally. What other cars are coming down the pike, Brad?

It came down to my dealer today (same car). My service manager offered me a chance to drive it, and I GLADDY took him up on that. I ended up being the only person at the dealer to drive it other than the rep that brought it down.

That car was INCREDIBLE.

One of the biggest things I liked was the padal shifters. When I first heard that it wasnt coming in manual, I thought "GAAAAY".

It shifts so quick, and so precise, and pretty hard. It is a very good system. As soon as you hit the paddle, its in the next gear reguardless of pedal position, engine speed (unless you are downshifting into redline), and vehicle speed.

The downshifts were even better. It provides engine blips to match engine speed with wheel speed, and does it in under .02 of a second. They claim the only car on the street right now that shifts faster (assuminig they were trying to dodge the GT-R), is the Ferrari Enzo.

I wish I could afford it..

That is great that you go to drive it, I got to sit in it and start it if that counts at the "taste of Lexus." Your response to Lexus not offering a manual was hillarious!!!

IS-F transmission will make ignore the fact that it isnt offered in manual. Most people can't handle 418 hp 371 torque on a manual effectively to even care about this car being offered in manual

"They claim the only car on the street right now that shifts faster (assuminig they were trying to dodge the GT-R), is the Ferrari Enzo."

According to this display, the IS-F shifts .05 seconds FASTER than the Ferrari Enzo and .05 seconds slower than Formula 1!!!! So Tempting!!!!
