Default Was thinking about getting an IS-F

And I was wondering about how would I go about doing this. I know it must be the fact that I'm young and when there is something new that comes out I always want it. Especially when it has more power in it(Yes, I'am that kind of guy). I bought my IS250 just a few months ago and I haven't searched enough about the IS-F and I wasn't lucky enough to see this forum before. Now that I've seen people's IS-F I just feel like selling my car. I want to just trade it in as for my down on the IS-F, but how would I go about getting a better or newer loan? I'm really new to purchasing a car and this IS250 is actually my 1st purchase I've ever made. I was thinking maybe I should wait it out for a year "AT LEAST" then buy the IS-F.

Any suggestions or advice would help. This car is sitting on my mind and I can't wait to get it. It's just how financially I can handle the payments. My payments for my car right now is less then $400/month and I was thinking about $500 - $600/month payments. It really doesn't sound possible since the car is about $61,000.

i think you should do more homework before going from one car to another

you are financing right now. given you are paying around 400 a month, i assume you had some down payment before when you bought your car. the car is only several months old, if you sell it now, you are going to get hit badly. to be honest maybe you are lucky if you can just break even. so i am not sure if you have any money for down on the is-f

and the is-f being 61k, also the fact that i don't think there is finance specials on the car, 600 bucks a month is a wild dream, unless you put down like 30k down payment (at least)

I say WAIT. It sounds like you cannot afford this car (IS-F) yet and you'll lose a lot on your trade-in. You have a nice car already (that you've only had for a few months) that you should enjoy. You say you're young. The fact that you already own an IS250 suggests to me that you're way ahead on the "nice car meter". Don't make a mistake that many young people tend to make in confusing wants for needs.

Thnx for the replies so far. I've been trying to put as much in my head not to get this car. I went from a VW GTI with little mods on it to see the potential of the turbo. So I kind of went from a fast car to a little bit slower car. As for the payments.....I was planning to at least get $25 - $36,000 as my down(even with or without the trade-in). That is the only reason why I was wondering about the payments. But I guess I need to think logically about the upgrade. Or maybe if I'm looking for speed with a little upgrade without the big numbers, if I should just get an IS350 instead.

Thanks for all the help guys!!! Loved this forum ever since I got my IS(I just wish I had all this info. before hand when deciding to buy my IS)!!!

Insurance is definitely going to go up with the F too. Just something else to consider.

I've got a different question though...

Given that you like the IS F tells me that you are into cars with power and since you opted for an auto IS250 instead of a manual, looks like you are not one of those "must-have-a-stick" guys. If that's the case why didn't you go for the IS350 at the beginning?

I am sure you have a good reason but if your reason is money then I think IS F at this point would be way out of your league.

If you paid off the car to begin with then maybe its another question, but this just basically trading debt for larger debt... wait a couple years... interest rates are going up anyways atm...
