Default Can we get a verdict on those stacked exhausts yet?

with so any of you guys having the IS-F already, i havent been able to locate whether or not the stacked exhausts are connected or not. online, there seems to be a lot of ambiguity and confusion. some say they are, others say not.

so can we get some verification from an owner?

(sorry if this was already mentioned, burried dee in the other threads)

if you remove the rear bumper, it will solve your problem.

anyhow, if you've noticed.. many luxury race cars have false exhaust tips. lexus purposely kept it disconnected for a good reason.

Final Answer....

NOT CONNECTED.. yet still have a purpose to route the exhaust flow fully out the rear bumper through the faux tips..

Final Answer....

Not fully connected from what I saw on the dealer showroom floor, but they are funneled almost all the way in.

For $60k+, you'd think they could make exhaust tips that weren't fake, lol. That's really sad.

So that everytime your exhaust scrapes the bumper comes closer to getting ripped off?

that isn't surprising... you can look at cars that cost 4-5 times that much and they still have fake tips...

R8: 120k, disconnected exhaust tips
LP640: 366k, disconnected exhaust tips
Veyron: ~1.5mil, disconnected exhaust tips

QQ more I guess.

The greatest thing is that after it was pointed out that all these cars have disconnected exhaust tips, anti-Lexus trolls (or is that crybabies) started whining that they aren't aligned. These losers will be losers no matter what, and besides, on the production version (and even on some pre-production models) the exhausts are clearly aligned - as my picture, even taken from a very wide angle, shows.

and seriously up till this point i still wonder what the big deal is that they are not connected. it's not like the car is going to go faster or you are getting better gas mileage
