do not like Benz for poor reliability, expensive maintenance etc...having said that, would like to haul *** in a C63 for ****s/giggles. ...wut a monster!

But realistically speaking of a purchase. I like both the M3 and ISF. I have the IS350 and the ISF just seems to be too rally looking for my VIP flare.

I never had a bimmer, and really was locked on a 330i before the IS350 sold me. Still was great decision/purchase. I would take my Is350 over all, considering price and usability.

But of those 3, give me the M3 (really hard to go wrong here). Then I can flame on all those cute Lexus sport/luxury owners.

IMHO the performance margin is really negligible, so next on the list is aesthetics. Thought i'm not completely enthralled by the IS F, it is better looking than either the M3 [e9x] or the C63.

So IS F it would be, as it comes better equipped base (No way either the M3 or C63 will be similarly equipped at the base price), is probably more reliable, is more exclusive and more efficient (aside from the afore mentioned performance and aesthetics).

However, based on "buy a car, base price" then I'd chose the Benz, as it has the best price/speed/speed potential ratio.

of the three cars, which one will compare with Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R... yes only one, the M3 (granted it will lose) but it's a great sports car... IS-F = wantabe; C63 = muscle car.

None of them are sports cars. They're all sedans and true sports cars will trounce them like the sedans they are.

I priced out an M3 online today and they sure do nickel and dime you as many of you had suspected would happen. Just to get to equal the base features of the ISF you are looking at spending at least 2K for leather and sunroof. Plus adding gas guzzler tax and worse fuel economy, the ISF comes out cheaper in the end. Who knows what the insurance will run for these three cars and what the true cost of ownership will end up being .

Yeah, if this M3 is anything like the E46, the insurance will be ridiculous. I've recounted many times my experience considering both the M3 and the 911 and how the M3 insurance was much more expensive despite the 911 having a much higher sticker.

All three of these are available in 4-door, automatic forms. In fact, that's the only way the IS-F/C63 are available, and poll specifies the sedan form of the M3.

I was amazed at my insurance for 6 months for the IS-F. About $320. I expected it to be quite a bit higher than that.

I really like the exterior of the C63, probably more than the IS-F, but I find the interior to be quite a bit off (by which I mean cheaper looking/feeling and less luxurious). I like the M3 sedan exterior and interior least of all. But that's just me. I think the C63 makes really nice noises. But overall it's obvious what choice I made.

Odd, your signature must be wrong.

The transmission in the Lexus is the best offered in this group, and possibly the best on the road.

I think in this market, I want a luxury performance car that is well balanced in all aspects. If you want all out performance, mod or look elsewhere. None of these cars in the best performer out of all cars, and stock will get beat by something modded. I think the Lexus is the best all around daily driver, best car to live with in the real world. I seriously doubt someone will use all of the performance of any of these cars.

I just got an email:

Subject: Your new IS-F is here!

Your car arrived late yesterday. I will be here until 8:00 tonight as well as tomorrow and Saturday. Let me know when you can come in. The car is amazing by the way. Thanks!
