You should still see some difference not dyno'ing in a 1:1 gear, although it should be less of a difference than typical cars (because the ratios are closer). Still, there's absolutely no reason not to just dyno in 6th.

Don't you guys think that 700 total miles isn't that much and the engine/tranny isn't completely worn in yet? After maybe 5K or 10K, I'm guessing he'll get a few more HP.

I was just looking at the ratios... redline at 6th would mean the tires will be spinning like 170MPH and hit top speed limiter. Maybe that's why they tested at 5th?

they probably didnt know what the gear rations were as usually it is 5th gear that is 1:1...
