Default Holy mark-up!

While on my trip to Cali I decided to stop at Jim Falk Lexus to see if the had any IS-F's I could drool over. Low and behold they had one, in my color too! I looked at the sticker and it had a nice 10k "Market Value" mark-up. I thought Lexus couldn't do this?

They can do what they want, but if the car just sits there on the lot then bad for them.

Benz and BMW dealers usually mark up their AMG / M series vehicles from sticker also. I am surprised at the mark up though. I haven't seen any vehicles simply marked up in my area (yet)...

I just came back from PDX Lexus . They had a silver in for strait up msrp. I lost out on buying it (story in another thread). I could have walked home with it today for $61K fully loaded.

They had a black one w/ a $10k "market adjustment" on the showroom floor a few weeks ago. Wonder if they actually sold it???

Who knows, lots of people with disposable income in the Beverly Hills area

I went by my nearest nissan dealer to inquire on the GT-R the salesguy told there was a $10K markup on there allocation and then an additional $5K when the next batch arrives. I know the GT-R is a incredible machine performance wise but IMO I dont belive it shouldn't be marked up its a Nissan and you cannot compare the Lexus quality.

I would not want anything so badly that I would pay $10K more than what it's worth. Not worth it at that price in my opinion. Not when the IS-F can be had elsewhere at MSRP. Perhaps a written inquiry to Lexus Corporate regarding this dealer's practice is in order.

It's not uncommon to see highly sought after merchandise marked above MSRP. Until recently Z06 10k+, CLK AMG Black Series 10-20K, BMW M5 M6 X5, Bentley, and so on. There are people that must be the first one and they will pay the premium.

You call that markup? I'll show you markup. Everyone just pointed and laughed. Granted, this is the dealer still asking $4k over on Minis.

For reference, you could buy a new M5 for about the same price. From the same dealer, even. In a few months as more cars become available that money will be gone. I guess it pays (25k, in this case) to be a little patient.

^^^justice at last.. why should a german made bmw cost less overseas! ^^

Quit yer *****in..the is-f costs 60k here (60k EURO)

1 Euro = $1.50 (is-f = $90k )

generally.. all car prices here are the same..except that you pay euro instead of us$ (makes me wanna cry :-( )

thats a little to much, and yes in europe they cost more the euro is worth more than the us dollar. So the IS-F, M3, RS4 and C63 would all be about $90Kus give or take the options. Also this applies to the British Pound.
