Best Motoring Video: IS-F vs. M3 coupe vs. S2000 vs. Nismo Fairlady Z

IS_F weigh in at 3780 lbs which is the empty weight, i.e no driver and maybe with or without fuel. E92 M3 coupe weigh in at 3704 which is with 90% fuel + one 75kg driver. So with same driver the weight difference would be 241 lbs-ish and 300 lbs+ if lexus' figure is with no fuel.

Should come as to no surprise that the M3 beat the IS-F, despite the drivers constant over revving of the engine. I knew the IS-F didnt have a chance once I saw him struggle to get out of first gear.
But anyway, what I found surprising is the 350Z Nismo being in the lead for a very long time. Is the car that good!!!??? That was really impressive.

ya, I have a lot of good time on the track in my S2000's and it was driven well, did well in the corners and got dominated on the straits. The ISF driver just strait up sucked. You guys are right, he was bouncing of the rev limiter in most the video. I just watched a right hand corner where the guy apexed into it from the right sized.. wtf kind of track driving is that. No cars were around him at the time. BS driving.

Best Motoring always put the best driver into the best car, and it would aggravate the difference. I don't think IS-F is that much slower, and I really don't think Nismo 350Z could be that much faster......and what the heck is the S2000 Type S doing there, I doubt it if it could beat the new Civic Type R.

The Civic R is already faster than the standard US S2000. That Jap spec type S I would think would be a track beast. Extremely fast on the corners, slower on the straits. But that track looked like a typical Jap track which has very few straits. The S2000 would do very well with less straits. But even these cars dominate it. Says a lot about the IS-F right there.
I know on my track days with the BWM club in my S2000, I would lap just about everyone out there at least once no matter what car they had.
I was pulling unofficial times around the same as my boss who had a 400hp 2001 M5 at the time with dinan parts (such as the rear end).
