Wish they had used the M3 sedan instead and did a time attack with the same driver, but the race is still fun to watch.

Wow no kidding...doesn't seem like he improved much throughout the video wither! What an injustice to the car...

Injustice indeed. Would have preferred a time attack by Tsuchiya in all cars

Agreed. Didn't seem like he showed any slightest idea of the shift timings. Just over-revving and over-revving all the way.

Wish they'd let Tsuchiya drive the IS-F.

Compared to the previous test by the beloved Tsuchiya this guy was 1.1 secs faster in the IS-F. The new M3 was 2.2 secs faster than the old M3. I agree with the fact that everyone seems to have quite a bit of a problem with the paddle shifters. Also, for being fairly tail happy I didn't see the IS-F hang out the tail once.

So maybe the first test was as bad as we thought and perhaps there is more left to find in the IS-F.

Strange but a good time. Can't wait to see more C63, M3 Sedan and IS-F.

time of is-f would be definetely better in D mode

what does that japanese think of when holding rews on limiter??? and how can M3 be faster in straight line than IS-F?? i guess it was driven of some guy that didn't know IS-F has 8 gears...

yeah hopefully soon we can see some good comparisons between the c63, rs4, m3, and the is-f. that would be an awesome test.

if this is the time from the is-f with that horrible driving, i can only see it doing better

If the paddle shifters are a problem for soem ppl why not just use the stick in M mode liek a manual instead of tying up your fingers and hands while the sterrign wheel moves as the car goes around corners. Just use your right hand. I know you know both hands soemtimes but I think on a trck you migth get better shifts just using the stick especially around the twisties.

errr..... you are not supposed to shift up/down when you are into a turn..... you down shift before you enter the turn and power it out of the turn and then shift..... if you are on a track and you find yourself down shifting when you are making a hard turn (either using the paddle or the stick), you are doing something very wrong

plus by just looking at him STARTING the car, you can see he has issues shifting even on straight

Hmm let's see. M3 is 250lbs lighter, has same power, better diff ratio and better gearing. How could M3 be faster???

The M3 makes more rwhp and is lighter, simple enough.

Even the coupe is half that, the sedan even less.
