Default Waxing new car

I was just wondering if waxing the car's paint being so new would be harmful. I realize the paint has been on the IS for a while from factory, but didn't want to start waxing prematurely. I should be ok waxing the car after delivery right? Thanks.

Paint sealant for now to mimic the level of depth and wetness of a black car, and don't forget microfiber towels

there is absolutely nothing wrong to wax a new car. in fact, you should strip away all the old wax or sealant on the car and put on some new good stuff to protect it. that's the treatment i give ALL my cars

the detailing forum has tons of info on this

I agree, I think waxing a new car is not a bad idea because you can get the kind of wax and the look you want......

Why not even do a light 1 step polish and then seal with a sealant. Wouldn't hurt.

I would even go with Opti-seal.
