Hey everyone! Finally got around to purchasing an IS-F. Been looking at them for a while. Came from a 400hp Evo 9 which was sold when my daughter was born. Went a few years and started to miss having a "fun" car after daily driving a large double cab Toyota Tundra. Picked up an IS300, which was an excellent car, just underpowered in stock form. I was temporarily distracted by the E36 M5 and E92 M3 but ultimately wanted something more reliable. I'm a Toyota master tech with 13+ years so far, so I can appreciate Toyota/Lexus build quality and reliability. Came across an '08 F with just over 100k miles nearby. Up to date service history at the Lexus dealer, every 5k miles from new, all stock with OE parts. Took a test drive and was hooked, drove it home that day. Just registered here and I'm already on the hunt for 2013 headlights and an exhaust haha. I have a feeling I'm going to hold onto this car for a long time!
1. Silver
2. Nav/ML
3. Black
5. No PCS
7. Sunroof
8. Lancaster, PA
AP2 so the 2.2L. It has a built head and stock bottom end on E85. The motor holds it fine but the transmission has been quite an issue lol
How many diffs has he been through? The rear diffs are a major weak point on the S2K's. I blew mine once, but it was still under warranty at the time, so it was all covered.
I had a buddy only pushing about 450 or so whp on his, it had a vortech supercharger, and in total he went through about 6 rear diffs during his time with the car.

He's gotten very lucky in that regard. Since he usually does roll racing events he has only broken one rear diff. He's finally biting the bullet and hopefully going with a sequential in the near future as well as the InlinePro rear end kit.

Wow he's very lucky to have only blown 1! I personally would not be running that much HP on my stock S2K diff. Good on him for finally deciding to do an upgrade on his.
Not a 100% certain. But I was told there was a series 1 and 2 in Canada. From what I understand Series 2 has NAV/ML and whatever other features are included. Correct me if I'm wrong on this if anyone can chime in on this
Just picked up our first IS F. 2010 and it came with Borla cat back and unfortunately a K&N intake system which I plan on going back to stock with probably a JoeZ intake tube.

Looks great! Let me know if you locate JOE-Z intake tube, I haven't had much luck finding one anywhere
