question for owners of IS-F
#17
They let me test drive it. They didn't give me any limitations or anything either. And no deposit. But then again, they treat me nicely because I'm a repeat customer. I didn't beat up on it and I didn't drive it too far - too many potholes in Chicago.

I love my car but if I am paying 25k more than my current ride I am hoping that it will be significantly different than my IS350. I like my current car a lot but it is limited on its engine mods and I wish I had a stick 75% of the time. The latter still won't be fixed by an IS-F. Honestly, I am toying with the idea of ordering an M3 coupe. I figure if I am paying that much for my car I might as well get everything I want.

Has anyone here driven a new M3? How does it compare suspension wise to the IS-F? The handling on my IS350 is so-so in my opinion. That and the tranny are my two main complaints when I drive it.

If dealers aren't allowing test drives, it better be because they have limited (or no) inventory of IS-Fs so as to allow one as a demo. Any reason other than that is a load of crap in my opinion.
Let's not leave common sense at the door. Who is going to drop $60K+ on a car and not "kick the tyres" a bit? Porsche, BMW, Mercedes and, yes, Bentley dealers, among others, allow potential customers (think: people walking in off the street) with proper credentials (a driver's license) to test drive (borrow) their cars. I'm walking if a dealer asks me to show the money at my age (54) and credit rating (760).

I'm sure that's part of it. The car I test drove had 59 miles on it and I added a few more. Knowing what I did to the car during the test drive and how those previous miles probably got on the car I opted to buy the car in the showroom that had 17 miles on it.
