I am just past my break in point with my 08 IS-F, and I have my 1,000 mile check up at Lexus.

Is an oil change pretty common around that mileage for a new car? Also for Diff fluids as well?

I'm pretty sure it is just a check up and the lady at the dealer said my first oil change isn't until 5,000 miles. That sounds long for such a high performance car and engine.

Let me know any past experiences you guys have had or heard of. Anything will help.

They are right at the dealership. I took mine in last week for the 1000 mile service and it didnt even take 30 minutes. My first oil change will be at 5k miles.

Ok. Its just that I have heard of people saying you should change your oil at like 800 to 1000 miles then the usual 3000-5000 miles after that.

Guess I won't worry about it then. Thanks
