Default Australia To Get New Updated Is-f Interior

Lexus has delayed the release of the is-f due to the C63 being so competitive in price and performance
Lexus got stumped on price they were pricing the car at more than aus $150000 when the C63 is $139000
Big mistake they are waiting of a new upgraded model coming shortly maybe more power to compete
What do you guys think here's the article.

Why would they only make a one off interior for one country only? That doesn't make sense.

Maybe it's going to be a complete change, world-wide, for next year's ISF?

In which case, sucks for all current owners, ouch.

"We're just about to start negotiations on the car," says Roca, but the pricing issue and the proximity of the C 63 do not appear to pose as much of a concern as the aim of trimming the IS-F appropriate to its elevated position.

"We're still messing around with the interior," he said.

"The specification issue is they launched the vehicle with a very similar interior to the IS 250 and the Chief Engineer now is looking at it, saying 'we should probably change that to make it look a bit more specific to the IS-F'...which is why we're holding back a couple of months to launch -- to launch it with the revised interior.

"They're looking at alternative colours for stitching, the leather and a few other things. What we'll do is we'll launch the second phase, which is months after the original."
Interesting. The M3 and RS4 interiors are basically the same as the 4-cylinder models. Personally I see enough difference between the 250 and F.

The IS should be going through a mid-life refresh at the end of this year anyway. So some upgrades were expected IMO.

Australia was getting the is-f around december anyway so it could be a few months after that.
May be you will be getting upgraded model as well in 2009
I think lexus should get rid some wieght in this car or more hp to compete on track with m3.
Can't work out why lexus made this car same hp rating as the m3 knowing the c63 has 450hp
BMW always seem faster than the spec.hp rating.
Sounds good on public roads but gets hammered on tracks
Car reviewers don't help either if its not good on track they put the can in last place.

FYI, Infiniti will upgrade its interiors for its cars in Europe as they feel Europeans require a better quality interior. Quite frankly its a slap in the face to owners in America, who buy 95% of their cars.

Infiniti just needs anything to help them in selling their cars period. That's not a surprise.

It's not just the interiors Infinity just started selling the EX35 here a few months ago with a 268 hp 3.5 L & 5-speed auto and a month later started selling the EX37 with a 3.7 L pushing 300 hp through a 6 speed auto to the Europeans, but the fact is the dollar is hurting and the EX35 is overpriced for what it is in the U.S. as it stands.

Let's hope the U.S. gets all the leftovers from Lexus as well.

I doubt the upgrade model will change too much, my bet is the seat leathering will change (to hard leather), and steering wheel will change looks to be the least
