The ride of the IS-F car is somewhere in between my 1995 SC 300 and 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo. It is a bit firm for a two hour drive but fairly comfortable around Orlando. I"m considering selling both cars to have this one.
Does anyone have suggestions or insight for reducing the firmness of the suspention?
Do you think the 2009 model would have a softer suspention?

You can always wait for some aftermarket company to provide you a softer suspension.
Kind of defeats the purpose of buying an IS-F if you're going to soften it up.
In any case, perhaps the IS-F and IS350 suspension is interchangeable? I'm sure if they fit, you're going to have someone wanting to trade setups. Just dont expect to go around corners the same way anymore

F is the performance line. It is not meant to be softened up and defeats the entire purpose of creating this line in the first place. It was created for those who wanted something more direct and sporty than the usual soft and luxurious ride we are so used to with every other Lexus model to date.
I would recommend getting an IS350 if youre looking for comfort or wait for an aftermarket tuner to develop coilovers or something.

Soften it? I'm waiting for someone to come out with something to tighten it up more. I agree the ride is a little rough but in a car like this you want it as stiff as possible and you might as well get better handling since the stock suspension is a bit of a trade off but does neither (soft ride- best handling) as well as it could.
