Insured as a family sedan not a sports car???
My friends insurance agent told my friend that he should have bought a IS-F instead because he regrets buying a E90 M3 because it insured as a sports car and as a result he pays pretty big sum for full coverage...

I believe the M3 coupe and maybe convertible are considered to be the sports variant for insurance purposes, but that is the case with most coupe/convertibles. In fact, it was one of the primary reasons why I chose the F. I'm not a fan of coupes anyway, and I knew I would get sports car performance masked in sedan insurance coverage. On a similar note, my friend has a Porsche Panamera S, and it is considered as sedan insurance and not a sports car. And that thing is crazy fast!

Well, I get 30 MPG when I do 65 on the freeway and get like 15 at most in city, and I'm pretty sure u can get as low as 5~9 at the track, so I luv the dual personality of the car. I always see a good amount of prius's on the road, and I can't help, but jump off the line and that's probably why I get 15 in city, but 16/23 is real conservatively right imho.
