I think by light-painting he meant did you use a flashlight or some other light source to "paint" the scene with light while you had the shutter open. What's your gear?

Haha, excuse my photography noobness Todd... I'm shooting with a Canon 40D+17-55 2.8 IS. It was literally pitch black up there, and the only thing we had to search around with was a flashlight. Then I had an idea of using the flashlight to spotlight the car, and... voila. Thanks for the compliments everyone!
