Default navigation replaced at 2k

almost a year, with 13k+ miles and counting i drive it all the time. i had naviagtion/the screen./brain replaced as it would shut down and act weird somtimes and then your climate controls won't work. The idiot who did the warranty work forgot to plug in the antenna wire and the nav it would go off coure and i would have to calibrate it all the time. Went to dealer ship after a week they said no problems found and nav works fine. i told them to look for GPS letters above the arrow and they didnt see it, finally they fiixed it and the service manager told me i was right..

that was that since no problems, did my oil change myself synthetic. Car runs good.

Coming up on 10k after 7 months. Looks like it will be another high mileage year.
Thanks for the info. That's good to know. I'm gonna wait till it hits 5k.

What do you guys think about switching over to synthetic at 5k? Is it too early? Or should I wait til 10k?

14K here since Dec. 08. 3rd oil change coming up and going with Mobil 1...dealer will let me bring the oil, charge me approx. 40.00 for the rest. Had brake pads changed to Hawk ceramics recently...much less dust and no noise. Like them.

Also had a squeaky driver's seat fixed, and satellite radio reception is awful...had dealer move the pickup point on windshield and a little better but still cuts out a lot or goes away entirely for a few minutes at a time...clear weather, rainy weather, doesn't matter. Really annoying to the point of me considering dropping sat radio altogether.

Exhaust next...looking at ISS, then possibly BC coils, and maybe a Blitz TC.

I did my synthetic switch over just this week at my 15k. The earlier the better, don't wanna wait too long. I just swtiched over to JDM Eneos Synthetic 5w30.

i dont know about the first transmission fluid change but i spoke to Crown Lexus located Ontario, CA today they told me i need to change my break fluid on 30,000 mile service. I'm sitting on 27600 miles since Mar, 2008. They said 30k Service is about $500+Tax...
This Includes Break fluid, and rest of normal services such as oilfilter, oil, etc....
$500 seems lil too much for a service so i think i'm just gonna do it from a friends bodyshop...

Never. There is no fluid change required.

Note: The transmission and transmission fluid are a completely sealed unit. Therefore, periodic checks and replacement of the transmission fluid are not required, and there is no dipstick on the transmission. Any repairs that require adding or replacing fluid should be performed by a qualified technician following procedures in Lexus service and repair publications.

What is break fluid? I usually drink coffee or a Coke on break. No idea what that would have to do with a Lexus unless the dealer has free coffee while you wait.

FWIW, the maintenance guide referenced above does say you need to replace your brake fluid at 30k. I bleed mine at least every track day, and I've been running Brembo LCF 600 in mine.
