Hey Oblivionis, I'm glad you were able to run with the IS-F. Seeing how you ran 13.47 vs. 13.34 of last year I can assume that the DA wasn't as great. In addition, you're running your new lighter rims so I'm guessing if you ran on the same DA as you did your 13.34 run, you'd probably be 13.2 or so which translates into a .2 off the 12.7. I guess what I'm getting at is that with awesome DA and reasonably good launch, an IS-F should be able to do 12.5. I hope to put that to the test some day...

BTW, how many miles on your IS-F 2JZ? I had 800 when I went. And, not saying anything bad - but when I saw the video, that was kinda of a weird launch. To spin the rears before taking off like that. I'm thinking the track prep was a little better than when I went because even w/o brake launching, there was no way I could hook up by mashing the gas.

That's great man! So, 20 pounds off the wheel allowed for faster trap (despite worse launch) and that was even against a HEADWIND AND much higher DA!

I take it the new wheels definitely add a little kick huh?

The reason he was spinning in place is b/c he was brake boosting at the line. In a PERFECT situation you want them to be slightly moving at the line just prior to green light. He stalled to 3k rpm which is why they were spinning so much. I bet had he been at 2,000-2,500 rpm he would run mid 12's...

You must be doing something right 2JZ.
There was an ISF on opening day at GLD and his best run was a 13.2@110 and just got slower every time.

*EDIT*
Just saw toothdocs thread. That was probably his.
