wow big difference between the 2 runs. did you let off early on the first run?

Nice time and trap on that second run. please explain the mode you were in(sport mode, manual mode etc...)

Was that you in that black IF-F at Great Lakes? I was wondering why you left so early. I'm the guy in the red IS350 you ran against on your second run..... I have to admit it was fun to see the difference between the cars. I have a couple of pictures of our cars parked next to each other... if you don't mind I'll post them here.

PS. You should have rented a helmet there. That's what I did.

Why the slow 60' times on the IS-F? Is traction a problem?

Wow, congrats! Why the big diff in trap speed b/w the two runs? Can you tell us the process you used on your 12.7 run? Brake boost? What RPM? Sport? Manual paddle shift?

Thanks and great job!

I noticed he had a passenger on the first run, not on the second, so that would make a difference. I'm anxiously awaiting the details. I'd like to take my car to a drag strip but want to get all the 411 before I do so.

I don't think a passenger will account for 2.6 mph in the 1/4.

Awesome runs man!!! 12.7 @113!!! Can't wait to get back to the strip now. You definitely had better launch (w/o even burning out!%!@#$) *and* much better trap! Way to represent the IS-F!!!

Hey Oblivionis, how did you run compared to him? Also, I thought I read that every 100 pounds is about .1 ET. So, if his buddy was 200 pounds, that's .2 seconds plus he launched just a touch better.

Hey, I also notice a motorcyle in your garage - don't you have a helmet?

Thanks everyone
Obliivionis-i did not have a chance to chat with you. My buddy was impressed that you were running 13.4 all day. Yes you can post pics if you like.
Here is what i did : I went around the water spot to the stagging lane on sport mode with manual shift, step on the brake with my left foot at the same time i give it around 3rpm with my right foot,i can tell the rear tires were spinning alittle as the light went on green i let go the brake and slamed on the gas then shifted my way down 1/4. By the way my buddy is around 130bls skinny little white guy lol. Once my new rims and wider tires came,i'll def. do better hopefully. Sorry if i missed spelling.

^^ Very nice...

YES - Going around the water is the best thing to do when running street tires...

You can also do a little dry hop to clean / heat them up just a bit..

Here is a video and some pictures. It was a pretty cool race for me and I have to say I was pretty happy to see the IS-F win.
