What's hard to believe. I think in a street setting the IS-F will win almost every time b/c it's geared to.

I agree. In a straight line, the IS-F has the M3 beat. The M3 shines in the twisties. It has a higher skidpad rating and runs the slalom faster. On a race track the M3 wins. Drag racing the IS-F wins. All in what you want from your car. Seems the IS-F suffers from Oversteer according to the magazines and videos where the M3 is the best corning coupe (next to the GT-R that is)

In regards to the understeer/oversteer. I think it just depends on who's driving and whether or not the VDIM is on or off. I recently attended the ultimate performance driving academy for the IS-F, and did notice some understeer. However, I think it was only b/c I am not the best driver in the world. Understeer basically happens when you come into a corner too fast and can't recover. When I was driven by a professional (Andretti), who knew how to take corners properly and hit the apexes, the car had no understeer whatsoever.

As far as oversteer, we had the VDIM on all day and couldn't get it to oversteer at all. Even hitting turns at 60-80 mph.

You kind of have to feel for yourself, cuz these magazine articles don't always tell the whole truth.
