I hope that as the great reviews come out that the US based magazines might learn something. Important to note, they compared the 2-door M3 to the 4-door IS-F, so it will be interesting to the 4-door vs 4-door reviews.

I love the term "vaguely practical". I have to start using that now.
It's a fantastic review for the IS-F. A real victory for Lexus on this one.
It'd be interesting if the UK-spec (or Euro-spec) IS-F is limited to 155. Benz, for one, limits many of its vehicles - including the AMGs - to 155.

I had to copy and paste this from a previous evo review (of the GS430) which shows what they've thought of Lexus in the past.
There's no doubting the new GS is a very good car, but for the enthusiast it's almost too good for its own good. All those electronics cloak the fundamentally excellent chassis dynamics under such an impenetrable safety net that I simply have no desire to drive the GS430 ever again.
It might save me if I'm about to have the big accident (we haven't mentioned the ten airbags, or 'pillows' in Lexus speak) but an owner will probably die of boredom before this ever arrives. Business as usual at Lexus then.

VERY IMPRESSED. Lexus has NEVER had a 5 star winner. That is usually reserved for exotics and high performance Germans.
EVO is VERY biased towards sport and cars for the driver, so it really shows the IS-F is the real deal.
What month was this? I haven't seen it.
