I always suspected that the big three car mags (MT, C&D, R&T) were not properly pricing out M3, RS4, & C63 when comparing to IS-F so I did some research. One BIG omission is Gas Guzzler Tax which IS-F DOES NOT HAVE. M3 is $ 1500.00, C63 & RS4 $ 2,000-2,500.00. Did some dealer lot browsing on Sunday (no hassles!), the BMW dealer had (2) M3 four doors on the lot, fully loaded to equal IS-F. Sticker price was $68,500.00 + 1,500 gas guzzler!! When they introduce their NEW paddle shift trans. later this year probably will add another
$ 2K +. As a side note there was a std. 3 Series sitting next to it and could barely tell them apart. My Smoky Granite IS-F made it look absolutely PLAIN by comparison! The Audi dealer had several RS4s on the lot all fully loaded and coming in at $ 72K. (o.k. car is four wheel drive) When the NEW car comes out will probably be closer to $ 75K. Merc. did not have any C63's but would guess gas guzzler to be $ 2,500.00 OR MORE and surely over $ 70K. All great cars but when doing a PROPER price comparison score a BIG WIN for the IS-F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
