Do you guys think this is for real? I saw a post about it on my.is and I figured I'd bring it here for some opinions. I've heard that the Lexus ECU is extremely difficult to crack..so I'm pretty skeptical at this point. What do you guys think?

I sent them an email and they wrote back to me.. They said 50hp and 50tq gains or your money back. They also mentioned we could only communicate by email and their website only so no phone# hmmm sounds fishy. I saw this mentioned on LexusF.com A simple plug an play that reverts to the original setting putting back the stock ecu. Toyota/Lexus ecu's are virtually impossible to crack. I am skeptical as well it might be a scam. There selling for $69.99usd. Maybe someone should take a chance and see....Any ideas out there...

I call BS.
The fact that they have one of these "chips" available for essentially every car of every manufacturer is a red flag. My guess is its some sort of resistor for the MAF sensor that tricks your ECU into changing A/F ratio's. Essentially its just going to make your car run really rich and decrease the life of the engine. This type of scam is very common on ebay.

If you run 93 octane, they might be able to squeeze out a little more with extra timing because Lexus can only calibrate up to 91 Octane since 93 is not available in all 50 states. Actually running leaner at WOT will increase HP, but is dangerous. As for the OP, I would not trust a fly by night outfit.

There's no such thing as a "chip" mod for any Lexus or Toyota in the world. There is no chip port in the ECM to add to it. It's a sealed unit.
If it sounds too good to be true, you can guarantee it doesn't work.
