Default Making The IS-F Weigh Less (Alot less)

So.. i took the spare tire, jack, and all the random parts that is not needed.. and it weighed about 43 pounds.. Will be interesting to see if it makes a difference.. and to come to think of it.. I dont think the m3 or rs4 even have a spare?

I think the M3 has run-flats.

M3 does not have run-flats, also no spare. M's get the M-Mobility Kit (sealant/compressor).

Remove your back seat and passenger seat. That should help free up weight.

Besides that, you'll have to wait, but get a carbon fiber hood and truck (should be over 100 lbs. combined). Remove the sunroof glass and replace with Reynold's wrap, heavy duty microwave (10-20 lbs. maybe). Disc rotors with bored centers, so basically the center is gone and held on by the five studs only, so easily save 10 lbs.

^ain't that the truth... Having said that, 40 pounds is something - but not going to make tooo much difference. 1% difference. A full tank of gas vs. a low tank of gas is probably about 100 pounds of difference - just drive it always 1/2 full at max. You could also remove windshield wiper fluid and run only a 1/4 and save about 8 pounds there too.

HOWEVER, getting VOLK RE30s and PS2s will save you 40 pounds of ROTATIONAL weight which is more like saving 200 pounds! Probably the BEST way to gain performance via losing weight. That seems to make a noticeable difference in the cars handling/performance. 5% difference.
