dam! i was hoping not to hear that because i special ordered a blue/alpine in june and expecting delivery in november. i have a $750 TOL certificate and that's it. they won't even give you a $1 off for special ordering huh? and i'll be missing out on this financing deal because it'll end before the car comes in. hopefully there will be another incentive going around then.

Yes, Madoka is right. I got around 6k off MSRP too.. I think at like 55,000 MSRP + the two years of free maintanance.

Bulls 23337 you will most likely pay sticker-seems to be the case for special order cars whatever make MB,BMW cause it's not sitting in the lot even though
it's a color combo that will not sit for long kinda sucks but atleast you have something a little more exclusive as for the 2.9% it ends Sept 2nd and they wont have a factory backed event until December of this year....hopefully your wont arrive till then. BTW this was the 3rd Lexus I purchased at this stealership in 5 years and they still wouldn't budge,i'll be shopping elsewhere next time!

Special orders usually do not get any type of discount. Because what you ordered is not something that is normally alloted to the region, the dealership is less willing to give you a deal on something they already know they have or what is coming to them. There are always going to be incentives, but historically, there are no incentives in November. December to Remember is usually a good time to buy.

What type of incentives do they typical offer during the December to Remember event? I have always wondered this.

I don't know about Lexus, but I do know you can indeed negotiate on special-order cars from other brands. Don't see why they wouldn't at Lexus too.

I know plenty of people who've gotten steep discounts on ordered Corvettes, M3's and Porsches.

You just have to use the force. You're the buyer and you're in total control because ultimately, you have the power to set the price you're willing to pay or say no if they won't/can't do it.

also the dealer loses money each day when a car sits on the lot, so cars on the lot are more willing to be discounted to be sold. When they sell a car they can get new stock in. Special ordered cars are cars that, first, arent on the lot, and second, dont even exist so their is no reason for a dealer to sweat pricing on a car that isnt on their lot and doesnt exist.

Thanks for all the info guys. I know they lose money each day a car is sitting on the lot (dealer holdback), but I did not know that special orders don't count as part of their allotment and they "don't exist." Interesting...
