Default Bad luck Already

Well, the fifth day of ownership of my new ISF. Started it up this morning and the low tire light is on. Pulled over and looked at the tires, tihe right rear looked a little low. I am right near the dealer bring it in and turns out there is a nail in the inner sidewall of the tire!! He brought me over to it and I took a look. Totally sucks!!

I gotta lay out 320 for a mounted balanced tire now. Amazing! Not a good day

Default Tire Insurance

Sorry bout your tire...

I don't normally buy any of the insurance/s that the dealers offer but opted to buy the Tire/Wheel one this time because of the 335i I had before my ISF gettin two flats in the first week (on run flats at that) where I had to shell out major bucks for replacements...

Of course (knock on wood) now that I have the insurance-no problem or issues at all...so far anyway...lol

Doh.. I would recommend going to America Tire and buying certificates for your tires. It's like 20 bucks per tire. Dealerships also have the same type of deal, but they rip you off for labor and misc. costs, so it's not worth it.

That's nothing, when I had a nail in my tire the local tire store scratched the rim getting the tire off or on. So now it's costing them $2,000 for a new wheel. Guess it was no skin off my back other than the fact I felt pretty sick at first seeing the wheel with the scratch. But all is well now.

That blow$ about the flat tire! Did you at least enjoy pealing out of the parking lot afterwards?

The exact same thing happened to me, a week after I bought it, had to replace a tire because of a nail

i notice it's very common to get nails in those tires...could it be the design of the tire is flawed? cuz i got TWO FLAT tires within the first two months of ownership. the first one was replaced free of charge as a lexus courtesy. second one set me back $500 or so

oh well.

I got the tire/wheel ins when I got my car - ins was only $395 and it covers tire and rim with 0 deductible and I believe 50K miles (I'm only leasing it for 36K miles). It's well worth it I figure with the potholes we had last year!!!

I paid 400 something for 5 years of covering damage to wheels or tires. Here in Guam it is the only way to go. The tire and wheel package is like 6+ thousand so it is definitely worth getting the insurance.

i got a nail stuck on my front tire this past weekend near the sidewall, atleast i was able to patch it up.Seems these tires are prone to picking up nails and similar things On the upside my tire shop made sure they did not mark or scratch up my wheels as i made it clear to them before they began working on it that they cost around $1600 each
