my yellow spare weighs 37 lbs according to my bathroom scale. the jack is about 3 lbs and tools probably 4-5 lbs.
here is what my car has lost so far.
oem to pc680 --> ~26 lbs
spare --> ~37 lbs
plastic trim and engine cover in engine compartment--> ~ 7 lbs
total of 70 lbs, not bad for spending only ~ $125
in place of spare, i have a small air compressor and a tire punture repair kit. if all fails, a can of punture seal and sacrifice the TPM.

70 pounds not bad so your car weights in at more or less 3710lbs. Mica how much was your pc680t battery? If you had the JoeZ exhaust subtract an extra 6lbs.

exhaust is nice, but i don't really want to spend that much money and risk making my car louder than stock. the F has enough power for me, i just want to make it lighter without sacrificing luxury.

What type of air compressor do you have?
I think I'm going to purchase this battery tonight.
I use mine as a daily driver and the winter isn't too bad here in Atlanta...
Any last thoughts before I purchase?

depends on whether you want it horizontal or vertical. i intalled mine horizontally and actually made my own harness with a piece of old luggage strap made of fire retardant material. i had to modify the OEM battery tray a bit to secure the battery. i think a slight modification is necessary regardless of which harness you choose. Caymandive use the aluminum body one and installed it vertically. if you want to install yours horizontally, the aluminum body one probably would be the easiest.

Awesome... thanks for your help..
I got rid of my spare and replaced it with a $19.99 AirCompressor and $5.99 Tire Punture Kit. = $24.98
I ordered the Battery (117.90) and the Aluminum Mount (50.00)....
Total: $192.88
Saved = 63 lbs!
Now I just need to search where I can reduce some more weight and keep the car comfortable...

you ordered the SAE terminals right? if not, you should be able to find them up at your local auto parts store.
i have been thinking about eliminating my sub. i only listen to classical music and public radio, so the sub is not really needed. i figure i might be able to loose another 10 lbs or so. weight loss is becoming an addictive disease.

Used my stock brackets, just chopped them up and welded back together. Then welded two braces to the tie down bracket to keep it from moving...
Thanks to Zen Motors =)
They did a great job on fabricating...
